Oracle Identity Manager (IDM) Configuration fails at Oracle Internet Directory (OID) restart

While configuring Oracle Identity Manager we faced a strange issue today. After repeated attempts and browsing I could come across the following link, which provides a fix for the issue.

Here is the screenshot of the issue.

Solution:

  1. Open  <Middleware>\Oracle_IDM1\network\log\sqlnet.log file
  2. Directory does not exist for read/write [C:\oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\log] []
Directory does not exist for read/write [C:\oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\log] []
  3. Manually go create c:\oracle\Middleware\Oracle_IDM1\log\diag\clients folder
  4. Now you need to start with the configuration of IDM again
  5. That’s it, you should not see the above issue now…

Hope that helps!
